In order to walk towards a more sustainable world, including young professionals in decision-making and discussion processes worldwide is a necessity in order to contribute proactively to innovative agricultural development. Therefore, learn more about this e-discussion and participate.
The paradigm shift towards Sustainable Agricultural Intensification (SAI) is becoming a world priority in the search for solutions to the many complex challenges facing agriculture in the twenty-first century. In Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) sustainable agriculture is a broaden and well established approach, however, is not yet considered as a vision that requires a global rethink of how food is being produced and consumed.
It´s with pleasure that the CGIAR Consortium, sponsored by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and supported by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), invites you to a regional electronic consultation to be held from 4 to 15 August 2014.
In this e-consultation is expected to consolidate a regional network to exchange experiences and generate joint actions for greater synergies in agricultural research; and better policies, investments and institutions in Latin American and the Caribbean.
In particular, this activity is part of a more ample consultative process led by the CGIAR Consortium on the basis of understanding SAI core principles and on what are the regional priority actions to be implemented in each region.
This e-consultation will be moderated by an international specialist and its outcomes, which will be published opportunely, will feed a roundtable of experts to be held at Uruguay on September 2014.
This e-consultation will be dynamic, constructive and valuable. Hence, we encourage you to join us by filling this registration form HERE. After registering you will receive by email guidelines on how to participate.
