Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association - Marine and Coastal Science for Management

The Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) supports research projects on coastal vulnerability, resilience and adaptation; coastal livelihoods; governance; and cross-cutting themes. WIOMSA's member countries are Comoros, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Reunion, Seychelles, South Africa, and Tanzania. Proposals can be submitted by institutions and consortia of institutions that include government departments, research and academic institutions, NGOs, CBOs, and private companies. Grants are up to US$480 thousand for four years, subject to matching requirements. The deadline for proposals is 30 September 2013. Click here for details and application.
